News Release - Mark Bray, County Extension Agent - Horticulture

About this time last fall, my wife and I took the kids on a walk in the woods at Park Springs Park in downtown Bentonville. Located just a few blocks from our house, Park Springs is an 18 acre woodland park featuring an arboretum, two natural springs, and a scenic hiking trail. While hiking we stopped periodically along the trail to identify trees and observe various signs of wildlife. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the hike, wet feet and all, but after about an hour, they were tired and hungry and so we began our hike back home for supper.

The answer provided on the placemat read, a large pepperoni pizza from ___ ___. He tilted his head and looked up at me with one eyebrow raised and in all seriousness said, “I’d rather have a boat!”
