Wild Hyacinth (Camassia scilloides)
This April Emily and I participated in a wildflower walk on the Shaddock Trail at Hobbs State Park. During that walk we found a flower we had not seen before. The Wild Hyacinth is a wonderful addition to our Arkansas wildflower photo history. It is said the Native Americans and early settlers used the bulb as a food source. The Hyacinth can be found in open woods and fields. It is a 20” tall perennial.
