February and March are the times to compost your gardens.

For those who are looking for compost, may I direct you to Premium Organic Poultry Compost by Ag Naturals, LLC.  Ag Naturals is located in Oklahoma right close to the Arkansas border between Gentry, AR and Colcord, OK, just off of highway 12.

They sell by the bag, and by the bulk, either screened or unscreened. Right now they sell the bulk by weight. They will deliver.

A 40 LB bag is $5.75 if you pick it up at the Colcord plant.  Bulk for unscreened is $105.00 per ton if you pick it up. They will load your truck.  A small pickup loaded level with the bed is about 1/2 ton.

This year we are using this compost at the Genesis House project. We wish to thank Ag Naturals as they donated a ton of the compost. I am also using this in one of my raised beds this year. This compost is very fine and has no smell.

They can provide you with an analysis report done by Midwest Laboratories.  Basicly the NPK is 2-7-2. The analysis shows nine other trace minerals.

Ag Naturals, LLC is located at 50733 S 720 Rd, Colcord, OK 74338  Telephone: 918.326.0101
They do not have a website yet.

Print out the attached company

"BCMG Spring Flyer" for details about this compost and for a special offer for all Benton County Master Gardeners.

The picture is John Halley working the compost into the new garden at Genesis House.
