We have two County Sanctioned Projects associated with the Benton County Fair.  Both are described below.

Benton County Fair Booth fosters public awareness of the Benton County Master Gardener Program, and solicits and encourages membership in the program.

The committee designs, constructs, and hosts the booth which also serves to educate the public on horticultural matters.

    There are two ways to serve:

        * As an active member of the committee-planning and constructing the booth or
        * manning the booth for a 3 hour time slot.

    The fair booth construction committee:

We coordinate with the design committee to make sure we can in fact build what they design.  We then acquire the materials and construct the booth as agreed and instructed.  Then the day after the fair, we tear down and move to storage the fair booth.  Our communication is usually email throughout the year but will be mostly meetings and on site the week before and the day after the fair.  Master gardener involvement is very limited before and after the fair but very intense during our construction time.  We need a limited number of members on this committee (4 to 6) who can lift and carry out construction activities.
